Michael Essien faces a battle to be fit for Ghana’s world cup meeting against Germany after he missed training on Wednesday with a toe injury.
The AC Milan star who was a second half substitute watched the rest of his teammates from the touchline and will now hope to play in Ghana’s bid for revival at the global football gathering.
Essien was a second half substitute as Ghana lost 2-1 to Spain and Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah will be keen to have his enormous experience on hand for the meeting against the vastly competent Germans in Fortaleza on Saturday.
