AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi has taken an apparent swipe at Clarence Seedorf by claiming even an elderly person could control the Rossoneri dressing room.
Seedorf was Berlusconi's preferred candidate to succeed Massimiliano Allegri, who was sacked in January, and the Dutchman promptly called time on his playing career to take charge at San Siro.
After a difficult start to his coaching career, Seedorf has led Milan back to within touching distance of a place in the Europa League but rumours remain rife that he will be sacked at the end of the season, with his boss said to have doubts about the 38-year-old trainer's tactical acumen and footballing philosophy.
Consequently, Berlusconi's comments about the Rossoneri coaching situation after serving his first day of community service at the Istituto Sacra Famiglia, which specialises in looking after elderly people suffering from dementia, will do nothing to quell the mounting speculation.
“This morning I met many people that could keep the Milan dressing room in hand very well," he told Telelombardia.
