CORRUPTION IN THE HIGHEST ORDER ( AIRPORT )

Fellow Nigerians do you know that many Nigerians are been frustrated accused falsely because of Corrupt Airport workers including Customs, FAAN or immigration officials.

I was very disappointed with customs and FAAN officials when I read this week Sunday Vanguard news paper dated 2nd of March were Patrick Omorodion wrote on how some Customs and FAAN official frustrated Osaze Odemwingie friend who brought into the Country Football kits donated by Osaze Odemwingie to support Insurance Football Club of Benin.

According to Omorodion he alleged that, Austin Uabor ( Odemwingie's friend ) who brought the kits consisting of 100 pairs of Jersey ( for home and away matches ), bibs,hoses and Coaches wears, into the Country was shocked when Customs demanded for #120,000 , claiming it was meant for fines on excess luggage which receipt were not issued.

The most ridiculous was the demand by the FAAN officials claiming that certain amount must be paid or the bags of Jerseys would be confiscated.

He was delayed for hours by these FAAN Officials but according to him he had to pay the money when someone whispered to him that if he leave the bags to make any trouble they Could put something in the bag to set him up.

MUST WE CONTINUE TO LEAVE WITH THIS CORRUPT TENDENCY OF OUR AVIATION OFFICIALS ?

what message are we passing to the outside World ,Corruption as eaten deep into this great nation and am challenging the higher authorities in the Nigeria Aviation Sector to investigate and punish anyone who is involved in this act of disgrace.

When I read this article I felt bad because here is a patriotic Nigeria trying to help one of our Club and this Corrupt Officials are trying to frustrate his effort it can be anybody tomorrow.

Do you know that many Nigerians have been in this situation and refused to bribe this Corrupt Officials and in the process have been falsely accused of drug related offences.

As Nigerians we must speak against Corruption which is greatest enemy of our Society, Am using this medium to challenge my Fellow Nigerians to contribute in evacuating all acts that are detrimental to our growth.
