Nigeria World Cup-bound striker Emmanuel Emenike will be out of action due to injury for three weeks, a scan has revealed.
The former Karabukspor striker suffered a partial tear on his right thigh muscle when in action for Fenerbahce against Konyaspor on Monday night.
He lasted for 80 minutes and was substituted by Mehmet Topuz in a game his side won 2-1.
The 2013 AFCON goal king was dogged by long-term injuries last year. First, a hamstring at the Nations Cup and then a knee injury that required surgery in Italy.
He has scored eight goals in 17 league games for Fenerbahce this season
He will miss two consecutive away games against Eskişehirspor on February 1 and Sivasspor on February 8.
