Why we chose Ota for camping - Enyimba

The Aba giants have picked a cosy environment in
Ogun State as their final pre-season destination before the start of the Nigeria Professional Football League

Enyimba head coach, Zachary Baraje has stated that the Peoples Elephant opted for the Temperance Guest House, Ota for the final phase of their pre-season camping in order to avoid distractions.

The Aba Millionaires have had the first phase of
their camping exercise at their home ground at the
Enyimba International Stadium and rounded that off
few days before Christmas.

The players have been recalled to Aba after they
were allowed to go to their respective abodes to celebrate the holidays.

Speaking with Goal , Baraje who replaced coach Salisu Yusuf at the beginning of the pre-season hinted that the club recorded success during the first phase of camping and that most of the players they intend using next season have been known.

He also added that the club's mission to Ota in Ogun State was to do a proper assessment of players they have been able to discover and make a final decision on who to sign and those to let go.

The former El Kanemi Warriors and Dolphins' trainer said he is confident that Enyimba would have an improved season than they had last season adding that the pressure to emulate the feat recorded by previous coaches at the club who won silverware would only spur him on to excel in his new assignment.

Baraje took an average El Kanemi Warriors to almost a place on the continent last season and he has confirmed there won't be any difference when the league season starts with the Peoples Elephant.

"We are almost set to hit Ota for our pre-season.

We have finalised the arrangement and very soon we shall go so that players can be focused 100 percent.

"Don't get me wrong, our camping at Aba was a success because we have got most of the players we want.

We have concluded the first part of our pre-season at Aba and our trip to Ota is to ensure that we train under a very conducive atmosphere devoid of distractions," Baraje said.

Enyimba are aiming to surpass last season's second position when the league commences next
year.
