This season is no exception, looking at the top four on the Barclays table, you would agree with me that no one expected Arsenal to hold the number one spot for a huge chunk of the first period of the season, Manchester City who defeated Crystal Palace by a loan goal are second on the Barclays table with 41pts.

Coming closely at number three is Chelsea FC.

Chelsea holds the 3rd spot with 40pts and go head to head with Liverpool FC which was a survival of the fittest match.

The Jose Mourinho led team has not been a stable team following a poor run of results in their last 3 fixtures of which they failed to score more than a goal difference.

Though, they have been poor in front of goal;we cannot take it away from them as they stand a chance of winning the league again since they achieved that feat in 2009-2010 season under the tutelage of Carlo Ancelloti.

In fourth position this season is Liverpool FC;they hold the 4th spot with 36 pts.

The Kops have shown resilience this season;surprising the whole footballing world with amazing results; they have been a struggling side for the past three to four years, missing out on the prestigious berth in Europe;UEFA Champions League.

The Brendan Rodgers led team would do all it takes to finish among the first four and gradually becomes one of the teams to win the title this season.

Missing from the top four is Manchester United;the Red Devils who are always favourites to win the league title has however fallen from grace to grass as far as the title is concerned.

Ever since Sir Alex Ferguson left the club;paving way for David Moyes to take charge; The Red Devils haven't been consistent like the used to be under Ferguson, they have lost and drawn matches they ought to have won;perhaps we should give Moyes time to build a formidable squad, only time will tell.

Manchester United are currently 5th on the log with 34pts.

Losing out again from the top four this season is Totenham Hotspurs; they have also not been in their best this season, even with the arrival of world class players like Soldado,Christian Ericksen,Lamela,Paulinho,Spurs has failed to impress this season recording heavy defeats to both Liverpool and Manchester City with an aggregate of 11 goals combined.

Following the poor run of results;the Spurs management deemed it fit to axe Coach Andre Villa Boas, thereby hiring Tim Sherwood as new manager. Spurs currently sit 6th on the log, holding the spot with 34pts.
