Spurs fans fear the sight of Los Blancos in the transfer period, and it will be no different this coming year as reports in England and Spain suggest Madrid are chasing Tottenham midfielder Paulinho.
Madrid first lured Luka Modric to the Spanish capital before completing a world-record £85 million deal to sign Gareth Bale in the past summer.
According to the Telegraph Carlo Ancelotti is now ready to bring Paulinho to the Santiago Bernabeu.
It is most likely though that Ancelotti will only table a bid in July next year according to the media outlet.
The 25-year old joined Spurs from Corinthians last summer, in a £17 million deal, but has already attracted interest from a number of clubs across Europe.
