Juventus plans bid for Bayern striker

Juventus are starting to work their way into the good books of Bayern Munich in hope of landing Mario Mandzukic at the end of the season.

The 27-year-old Croatian is expected to find himself sidelined at the end of the season should the Bavarians land the signature of their long- anticipated arrival in Robert Lewandowski.

Should the Polish international arrive, Mandzukic is expected to face a tough task in fighting for a regular starting spot due to Pep Guardiola’s preference in playing a lone striker.

Tuttosport suggests that Giuseppe Marotta has reportedly been given the go ahead to move for the Croatian international by Andrea Agnelli and they are believed to be prepared to pay a fee in the region of €20 and €25 million.

Mandzukic has been in impressive form for Bayern Munich, scoring 12 times in 20 appearances.
