Argentina Stars: We'll Be Too Hot For Eagles If..

Argentina goalkeeper, Sergio Romero believes his side can steamroll group F foes if they play with the same spirit and confidence they have been playing with in the past two years.

The AS Monaco of France goalkeeper says Argentina have been handed a relatively easy draw for next year's FIFA World Cup.

"We were given a good group, the important thing is that we travel short distances.

If we play like we have been playing for the past two years, things will go very well for us," he said.

Romero's seniments were echoed by Éver Maximiliano Banega, the Valencia of Spain central midfielder who will likely make his World Cup debut in Brazil.

Banega is convinced the current Argentina team has what it takes to go on and lift the trophy.

"We've known each other for many years.

There's a good atmosphere between us.

Hopefully things work out the best way possible for us.

Argentina's always a favorite.

We have to go into every match thinking we will come out as the winners.

We also know that this generation can win a lot. A lot of big things. It's a good time for us, we have to take advantage," he said adding that Barcelona star,Lionel Messi remains the team's talisman.

"We know that we probably depend a little on Leo for what he does.

When he's not there, we don't play at the same level. But we have to learn how to play without him."

Former Argentina captain,Javier Zanetti has also backed the duo of Romero and Banega, saying Argentina is a huge favourite for the cup.

Meanwhile,Argentina has confirmed that it will play two preparatory matches in June and one of them in Lionel Messi's hometown of Rosario.

On June 4, Argentina will play a match against an opponent yet to be named at the Marcelo Bielsa stadium in Rosario.

On June 7, the team will play Slovenia at the Monumental. It will be their last match before the World Cup.
