Adepoju: Emenike Is Eagles Success Secret

Mutiu Adepoju believes that the current form of Fenebahce of Turkey striker Emmanuel Emenike will be a great asset to the senior national team as they look forward to the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil next year.

Emenike who scored against Kayserispor in their 5-1 win at the weekend in a Turkish league to make it 8 goals in the outgoing year has been commended by the ex-international who believes that the reliable striker will be instrumental to the Super Eagles performance at the mundial.

“Emenike is in super form now and we should all be praying for him because I can see that he has proved that we can rely on him.

You will discover that since after the Nations Cup in South Africa, he has not stopped scoring and for a striker like that, I will say he will be a good asset to any team,” says the ex-international.

“Keshi knows that Emenike is in good form and I am sure he will continue to monitor him and if other strikers in the team can rise up to the occasion and be in good form, I am sure that the team will perform well at the World Cup.

Adepoju however believes that the team needs quality preparation to excel at the World Cup as he called on the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF to give the team all the support they need to have a successful preparation.

Nigeria has been drawn in same group with Iran, Argentina and Bosnia Herzegovina.
