Injured Mitroglou out for a month

Injured Olympiakos striker Kostas Mitroglou will be
out of action for at least a month, the Greek
champions announced on Thursday.

Mitroglou, 25, the leading scorer in the Greek
Super League with 14 goals in 11 matches, was
injured in the second half of Wednesday's 2-1 loss
to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

He was later diagnosed with a meniscus injury that
will require exploratory surgery.

As a result, Mitroglou will miss the decisive
Champions League home match against Anderlecht
in which a victory for Michel's side will ensure that
they qualify for the last 16 from Group C.

Mitroglou, whose goals have also helped Greece
qualify for next year's World Cup in Brazil, is under
contract with the Piraeus-based team until 2016,
although he does have a clause in his contract
saying he can leave for a minimum 8 million euros
($10.9m, £6.7m) and has been linked with leading
sides around Europe, including Liverpool.
