'We must be very careful with Thiago Silva' - Blanc

Paris Saint-Germain boss Laurent Blanc has said
that the club must be "very careful" in easing
Thiago Silva back into the frey as he returns to
training following a six-week lay-off.

The Brazil international has been sidelined with a
thigh injury since the 1-1 draw with Ligue 1 rivals
Monaco in September.

Despite returning to full training, the 29-year-old
is not expected to resume first-team duties for the
visit of Lorient to Parc de Princes on Friday, as
Blanc believes the defender's situation must be
treated with the utmost delicacy.

The coach told reporters: "This is not a trivial
injury. With him, we must be very careful. I am
very happy for him because six weeks is a long
time.

"This is someone who trains very well and has a
healthy lifestyle."

The former AC Milan stalwart could make his long-
awaited return for the Champions League clash
with Anderlecht on November 5.

PSG, who won Ligue 1 for the first time in 19 years
last season, currently sit level on points with
Monaco at the summit of France's top flight with
25 points apiece, with Blanc's men ahead
marginally on goal difference.
